This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected and used when you visit the Thalia Nova website, contact me, or subscribe to my newsletter.

Service Providers
We use Zone for website hosting and Google Gmail to receive and manage correspondence and signup notifications.
Google may process information outside the European Economic Area. More information is available in Google’s Privacy Policy.
Cookies and First-Party Visitor Statistics
The website uses a first-party unique-visitor counter hosted by Zone. It creates a random identifier in this site’s browser storage so repeat visits from the same browser can be counted once for each reporting period and public page. The identifier does not contain your name, email address or account information and is stored in the analytics database only as a one-way hash. The counter does not use analytics cookies or fingerprinting and does not store raw identifiers, IP addresses, browser details, referring addresses or URL query parameters in its analytics database. Standard hosting access logs are separate from this counter.
Daily visitor detail is retained for up to 400 days; cumulative unique-browser and per-page totals are retained while the counter operates. The browser identifier remains until browser storage is cleared. Browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals are respected and prevent creation/use of the identifier. JavaScript-disabled or blocked requests are not counted. Private administration pages use session cookies necessary for authentication.
Where required by applicable law, you will be given the opportunity to manage your cookie preferences.

Your Privacy Rights
Where the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, you can request access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, restriction of processing and, where the conditions apply, a portable copy of data you have provided. These rights are subject to the conditions and exceptions set out in applicable law.
You may object to processing based on legitimate interests for reasons relating to your situation. You can object to use of your data for direct marketing at any time, free of charge. You can also withdraw newsletter consent by using the unsubscribe link in your reader-list emails or by contacting me. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

Requests will normally receive a response within one month; if a lawful extension is needed because of complexity or the number of requests, I will explain it within that month.
You may complain to a data-protection supervisory authority, particularly in the country where you live or work or where you believe an infringement occurred. You do not have to contact me first.
Data Retention
Personal information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law.
Your email address stays on the reader list until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Unsubscribing removes it from the mailing list immediately. A limited record of your unsubscribe request is kept for 30 days to handle repeat requests. Inactive spam-prevention records are kept for 24 hours. Expired records are normally deleted within the following hour.
These periods do not automatically erase earlier correspondence or backup copies. You can contact me to request deletion of your personal information.
Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
